Halloween Decorating Tip
Are you wondering what kind of spooky, scary decor you can create this Halloween? Pull out the stops this year and with a little imagination, you can find some great Halloween decorating tips that won’t cost an arm and a leg!
Get a large punch bowl or any large glass bowl if you don’t have a punch bowl, maybe a metal bucket or a tub. Fill the tub with water, carve holes in the apples big enough to be able to place a votive candle in the apple, then float them in the tub of water. It is a great effect, especially when the lights are low and you have a few setting around the party area.
Something I did last year when I used a punch bowl for the drinks was to take a rubber glove (most are latex free) and fill with water and then freeze. It keeps the drinks cold and adds a bit of a weirdness to your table.
If you aren’t sure what to do with all those leaves in your yard, scoop some up and sprinkle along the path to your house that your guests will be walking. A few on the porch will give that cruncy, eerie sound to your theme.
Do you have an artificial Christmas tree? Trees aren’t only for Christmas. Take the tree and add some orange lights to it and then some spiders and a bit of webbing and bats, witches and whatever your kids can come up with. Making their own decorations are a great way to do some Halloween decorating. Even if you don’t have an artificial tree, what about some bushes or trees lining your yard up to your porch? Works the same way, don’t leave them bare, decorate!
You don’t have to spend a fortune finding Halloween items. If you have a tall tree branch hanging in your yard or garden, hang a sheet from it with a rope that is hidden from view. You can have someone hide behind the tree and pull the rope making the “ghost” move when someone walks by.
There are so many different ideas to make your Halloween decorating fun and stand out. Just use your imagination, nothing can stop you from having a great night of erie and spooky madness!
