Halloween Stories

Halloween stories have existed for eons. Urban legends, or stories that we just don’t know if they are true or not have been around since we can all remember. Perhaps if you are planning a party, you can gather your guests around a fire or in a dimly lit room and tell them in a quiet dramatic voice, the stories of old that people still talk about. Here are a few of the twisted fables:
Blood Mary – I think we all have heard this at one time or another. When midnight struck, you stand in front of a mirror and chant, “bloody Mary” thirteen times as you wait for the ghoulish monster to appear. It is supposed to be about a vengeful woman who clawed the eyes out of the person calling her….or, pulling the person into the mirror with her. Now, don’t tell that one to little kids, the poor dears won’t sleep at all.
Never leave the cemetery is about a group of friends who dare someone to stay overnight and is locked inside a coffin with a corpse in the cemetery. That person winds up the next day insane and with their hair turned white and they never speak again!
A man hung in a shower is creepy. It is about staying in a cheap hotel and when you take a shower you feel something touching you. When you look up you will see a man hanging from the ceiling. You run and get the manager but when he comes in there isn’t anyone hanging there. But, the spooky thing is the manager looks just like the man that was hanging in your shower!
Lady in White
This is a story about an intern who had to go to the morgue in the basement to check on a patient who just died and was being prepared for an autopsy. He had the woman’s name and tag number memorized as he got into the elevator. There was a woman pushing the button to go to the bottom floor also, dressed in white. He wonders if she is a new nurse as only authorized personnel are allowed to go to the basement. Then he noticed the tag on the woman’s wrist. It had the name and number of the dead woman on it. He winds up insane and unable to speak.
Do you know any Halloween stories you can tell at your party?
