Are you looking for some Halloween stuff to make for an eerie and spooky graveyard? Look no further than this blog because following are some great ideas to take a simple little area and make one of the spookiest graveyards ever!

Grave Markers

You can either buy some tombstones from one of the discount online stores or make your own. If your on a budget, find some cardboard, cut out in the shape of a tombstone and color or paint gray. Here are some epitaphs from real graves that you can use:

  • “I knew this was going to happen to me”
  • “I B Dead”
  • “U R Next”
  • “I told you I was sick!”
  • “Grim death took me without any warning, I was well at night and dead in the morning”
  • “Your standing on my face”
  • “Do not disturb I sleep walk”
  • “Here lies Johnny Yeast, pardon me for not rising”
  • “Here lies my wife so let her lie, she is at peace and so am I”
  • “I M Gone”
  • “Here lies Suzy Saas, died from shock over the price of gas”
  • “I B Crisp fixed the toaster with a knife”
  • “She finally got to sleep in”
  • “Here lies Fred a rock fell on his head”
  • “I made an ash out of myself”

You can buy the spider webbing online or at the dollar store and spread it from one tomb to the other, making your tombstones look macabre. Add some lights behind the tombstones, just enough to give it a dull glow. Either take a candle and put in sand and a bag or if you have some lights or glow sticks that would work great. Keep the lighting very dim so it looks scary.

If you have October’s fallen leaves in your yard, you may want to take some of the leaves and plant them around the tombstones and then take a sleeve and fill it with leaves and have it sticking from the grave site so it looks like there are hands, feet and limbs sticking out. Perhaps a shrunken head could be strung from a tree limb or sticking in the graveyard.

There are all kinds of graveyard Halloween stuff you can make and it only takes a wild imagination to come up more things to make or buy for your graveyard. Until net time…….
