Part II Quick Halloween Snacks

Here is part two of the quick halloween snacks that I mentioned in my last blog. I have so many different foods that I probably could write a book on what we’ve made over the years. But you will love this punch and they kids really dig it!

If you have a punch bowl, this will work great but if you don’t, just use a glass bowl that’s big enough to put in some green kool-aid or any type of green drink. Then go to the dollar store and get one of those glow necklaces. Place the punch bowl on top of the glow necklace so the light shines through the bottom of the punch bowl. Throw in some gummy worms and you’ve just created one of the best creepy punch ever!

Now for the big kids, how about some blood clot punch! Get one bottle of Black Cherry soda and one of fruit punch. Pour them in the punch bowl and then add the can of frozen strawberries and stir. You will notice as the strawberries melt, they look like blood clots, eewww. Oh and throw in a few gummy worms. What a quick Halloween snack!

Aren’t these great recipes? You probably already know about the eyeballs you can make out of deviled eggs, they’ve been around for years and are a great quick halloween snack, but here is another version that is easy to do. Take vanilla wafers and spread some canned icing on top, then place a life saver in the middle, the take a chocolate chip and put in the middle of the lifesaver. Get some red gel frosting and you just draw some bloodshot lines on there! Easy, easy, easy!

This last recipe is probably more for mom than anyone, because not everyone likes pumpkin as a drink. So here are the ingredients:

one half cup of canned pumpkin
3/4 cup of milk or vanilla yogurt
1/4 teaspooon of cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
Last is 4 ice cubes

Puree all ingredients in a blender until smooth! You’ll get a rich and creamy drink and a great quick halloween snack that you can enjoy while making all the other halloween goodies. Delicious!
